Scale & Proportion

Referring to the size of the elements in a design in relationship between the others is Scale & Proportion.  They could be abstract, or realistic, depending on the idea of the artist.  Either way, they are important aspects of the process.

Scale is the amount of space an object uses in a design.
Proportion is the size of an object in relation to others.




 Here we have an example of a little abstract scale & porportion where the foot should be smaller than the person but seems much larger.
