Patterns & Texture
Patterns and Texture in many ways are similar. For example, patterns can be used to illustrate the idea of texture and texture can create patterns.
Tactile Texture is the use of material to create a texture that can be felt.
A Collage is a variety of images that create a larger picture.
Verisimilitude represents accuracy or faithfulness in depicting or representing an idea/world/design.
The picture to the right shows this concept by the artist making it seem as though you're looking at the trees behind the picture but it's the picture itself.
Trompe l'oeil is to "fool the eye".
